Norco (acetaminophen / hydrocodone) for Pain "Norco worked pretty well for me at the right dose and when rx'd with muscle relaxers. However, I was originally rx'd long acting opioids because I had liver damage due to Halothane toxicity and taking a single ingredient opioid was safer. With the new "guidelines" I can't even find a doctor who's okay with rxing Norco so I'm back to taking high doses of acetaminophen. The govt has really screwed chronic pain patients."

Norco (acetaminophen / hydrocodone) for Pain "After reading some of these reviews I am not alone. I actually thought maybe it's just me thinking the medicine doesn't work at times when I take it. WTH? What is going on? I have neck pain, neck fused with 2 cadaver discs. Now it's the back of my neck. The pain management center Dr. just lowered dose quite quickly I might add. Maybe because I'm on medicare now they got audited? I know that happens cause I worked in a Dr. office!! It's like no one cares about your chronic pain. Even after a tendon repair surgery on my hand the nerve block wore off after 18 hrs. and it felt like my hand went through a tree shredder. I literally had to BEG for a few to get through at least 2 days after surgery. All because of an opioid crisis thanks to the drug addicts .Now people who suffer genuine pain have to suffer."

Norco (acetaminophen / hydrocodone) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "Tried mallinckrodt, this is the worst hydrocodone pain tablet I have ever taken. I am a 73 yr old. Male, been taking 2 to 3 tabs a day for arthritis for 10 yrs. I had to get my pain therapist to change pharmacy to get something that worked. Taking. EYWA PHARMACEUTICALS 7.5 . They are the best I have had in a while. Stay away from Mallinckrodt unless you are into pain.."

For Pain "Feeling sick for over a year now from hydrocodone ingredient change by the manufacturers. Heart racing, insomnia, chest pains. Where can we have these pills analyzed to tell what is in them, I clearly have SUFFERED immensely. We just have to find a lab that is not paid off by the government..."

Norco (acetaminophen / hydrocodone) for Pain "Mallinckrodt Norco is the only generic brand Walgreens carry. The last 2-3 years they have been rubbish. The Walgreen pharmacist tells me they cannot get any other brand. I have decided July 2022 will be my last AARP Walgreen Part D insurance premium payment and will drop the coverage. If anyone asks, I will explain one of my medications is nontherapeutic as the cause."

Norco (acetaminophen / hydrocodone) for Back Pain "I have been taking Norco for awhile and the manufacturer was actavis and they really didn't help that much. Well I just got another prescription filled and Walgreens changed manufacture again which is mallinckrodt and they do nothing at all but give me pains in my stomach and give me a slight headache. I wish these manufacturers would stop playing around with the ingredients we are in pain and need something for pain - not the ineffective ones we are getting now"

Norco (acetaminophen / hydrocodone) for Pain "Norco is extremely effective - I have used it over the years after having 3 back surgeries. I have never experienced any negative side effects or withdrawal symptoms. Norco has been in use for over 60 years and has not caused a public health crisis. We have oxycontin to thank for that - a drug that should never have been approved. Oxycontin is no more effective than Norco but is five times more addictive by design. The FDA should be ashamed of itself, and generic manufacturer Mallinckrodt should do us all a favor and go out of business. It is simply a waste unless you're looking for a medication that causes you to throw up. I would rate Norco a 10 and Mallinckrodt a 1. Oxycontin is an abomination. Meanwhile, millions of us with moderate to severe pain every day have nowhere to turn."

Norco (acetaminophen / hydrocodone) for Pain "Call the FDA Voluntary report of AE event, such as product is not AB Rated anymore. Use NDC 00406-0125-01 on form 3500B from FDA.Gov. Request proof from independent Lab assay that this NDA meets or exceeds 80/20 bioavailability. We need 100,000 reports to make the FDA listen to Pain patients we number nearly 77 million in the USA."

Norco (acetaminophen / hydrocodone) for Back Pain "The generic Norco Mallinckrodt m367 for 8 months and never really helped pain. Even at the start. But in years past I have had NORCO 10/325 after 3 different surgeries and I can say that they worked well for pain relief. Not these Mallinckrodt . Seems the formula is change to satisfy the Gov. desires. Even some pharmacist agree but won't say publicly for fear of bucking the system. Todays generics appear to be inferior."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I’ve been taking the generic Vicodin’s 7.5/ 325 for 15 years failed back surgeries. Walgreens is my pharmacy they changed brands from Watson to Mallinckrot and never told me I noticed I was sick to my stomach all the time and headaches tired , I didn’t know what the heck was going on. I got a refill on my inhaler they changed that, so I just looked at my pills what the heck they changed them too and didn’t tell me ! Damn now I have to deal with this for a month ! The pharmacist tried to tell me there is no difference in them and that just ticks me off , I don’t like being told something I know better !"

Vicodin (acetaminophen / hydrocodone) for Pain "I started taking this after my knee surgery, I found it to be be great. My recovery time was fast. I had no pain and lot's of energy. It started with 3 or 4 pills a day then after that it got to be 5 or 6 a day. I then had foot surgery. I had to take more for the pain to go away. This went on for 5 years. By the time I got help I was taking 20 to 25 pills A DAY. I now know that God is watching over me because if he wasn't I wouldn't be here now. I am now off of all pain killers but it took a lot of hard work. I'm letting you know this because it creeps up on you before you even know it. Vicodin may help you at first and you may be able to control it. I thought I could. I'm just asking you please be careful with this medicine."

Norco (acetaminophen / hydrocodone) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "I've been taking Norco for 10 years I've never had a problem but my pharmacy changed to this pharmaceutical company mallinckrodt and I'm literally taking one pill every four hours and it still doesn't work it takes 30 to 40 minutes for it to take effect so I sit here in pain. it just seems that there's something wrong with this drug I've never had a problem before I don't have an addiction to these pills I've been very careful only to take them when I need them."

Norco (acetaminophen / hydrocodone) for Back Pain "I have had surgery to replace my fractured C5 vertebrae with bone harvested from my hip; I have had back surgery to replace a disk; and I have had spinal fusion surgery. I now have arthritis in my hand and shoulder. I have taken Norco 10s for the pain over the years and have found them to be highly effective with no side effects or withdrawal symptoms. My doctor prescribed Norco 10 for my arthritis but the only medication the pharmacies in my area carry are manufactured by Mallinckrodt, and they are terrible! They don't reduce the pain AT ALL, but they're GREAT at making me nauseous. If your doctor prescribes generic Norco 10s by manufacturer Mallinckrodt, don't bother - the product is worthless."

Norco (acetaminophen / hydrocodone) for Pain "These sub par bioequivelent generic pain meds are simply causing the ones who medically need pain relief to have to suffer. Why can't I have the opportunity to consult with my pain management dr get a prescription for a name brand pain medication only to discover that the production of name brand are priced extremely expensive and this has resulted in the untreated severe chronic pain I have due to sub par bioequivelent generics flooding the pharmaceutical market. Hopefully the truth behind this abomination will surface soon and needless suffering will be addressed with compassion not concerns of profits."

Norco (acetaminophen / hydrocodone) for Pain "This opioid is TRASH! I was prescribed it after a tonsillectomy and it has provided ZERO relief. I’m 18 and have never taken pain pills in my life so I definitely don’t have a tolerance, this stuff is just bogus. Thanks gov’t, I’m glad I get to suffer for 2 weeks since you can’t give us pain relief!"

For Pain "I did a little "investigating" a few years ago about this. I found that some of these manufacturers are legally able to put a certain percentage of the ACTIVE ingredient in some of these meds. So, some people might get 85% of the active ingredient while others may get 90, 95, 100%.... I also found many MANY pharmacies don't even carry brand name, only generic. I also found that they can charge more for 325 mg of the APAP than they do for 300mg of the same. Or maybe it's the other way around....anyway, you get the gist.... I've also found that some pharmacists or techs look all googgle-eyed at you if you ask for name brand, like you were stabbing a kitten at their cash register or something. And they have basically more say-so than your doctor. I've simply decided to take BC powders and have my insides eaten up. I don't have insurance. I hope good people aren't being made to suffer needlessly."

Lorcet HD (acetaminophen / hydrocodone) "The past 3 or 4 months, every time I pick up my meds (10mg-325 hydrocodone with acetaminophen) it hasn't been working. I had the one imprinted with U03 (Aurolife Pharma LLC) when I started to notice I was having to double up due to the lack of effectiveness. So, I asked for a different manufacturer. I recently received white oval with imprint 176 by the mnft "Caraco Sun pharm" they are even worse!! I usually take 1 every 4 or 5 hours, these I've literally take 2 at ONCE and NO relief. This whole scandal is rubbish, what are we supposed to do as the patient for a resolution?? Seriously!"

"I am so sorry that so many people are going through the same ordeal as I am. I too thought it must be in my head or I was getting worse is why my pain meds quit working like they used too. I had always taken the yellow acetominophen with hydrocodone by Watson and they worked great. Then my pharmacist told me they quit making them and gave me these white ones by Mallinckrodt. and they are horrible. Yall are all right and it isn't in your head. None of us know each other, so it's not like we got together and decided to write these reviews. The only way it will change is not by calling or filing with FDA. They don't care about individuals because they don't need your vote to keep their job. Call your Senators and House of Representative and tell them about the changes in medication. Let them know about boards like this one full of the same complaints. They need you to keep their jobs and are much more likely to act. The FDA is no longer a reputable organization, much like the FBI. They care about power and that's"

For Back Pain "M367-is junk... I called FDA and I need to fill out a formal complaint... I’m trying to get the yellow Par Pharm or Watson brands. They are messing with our meds and we need to stand up and fight. I’m miserable on these. Please everyone who is getting this knock off m367 Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals brand to report to FDA.. I’m suffering with fibromyalgia and multiple back issues and arthritis. If FDA employees had pain we wouldn’t be having this issue."

Norco (acetaminophen / hydrocodone) for Pain "Generic Norco used to work great when pharmacies carried the good quality brands, but now with the poor quality brands available, it is difficult to get pain relief. I am fed up with the so-called overdose epidemic causing chronic pain patients to suffer! States have sued the Pharmaceutical companies over it and as a result, the Pharm companies filed bankruptcy and had to sell off their sub-companies that manufactured the good quality generics! Goodbye Watson, Qualitest, Par, Teva, etc.! Hello unrelieved crippling pain! I changed pharmacies from CVS who dispensed worthless Caracao, to a private pharm who dispenses Amneal or Mallinckrodt. Mallin is very weak and causes terrible side effects and Amneal works at about half strength. Tris from Walgreens doesn’t work at all! It’s so frustrating, we need pain relief and can’t get it anymore."

Norco (acetaminophen / hydrocodone) for Pain "I used to be on Vicodin 10/500 for my severe pain due to rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia and spinal issues. My pain is chronic and severe. I've been on Norco for 4 months now and did not feel any difference from the Vicodin. Last month my pharmacy gave me a different brand. It was amazing! First time in a few years that my pain was less. I even found myself missing a dose because I was feeling ok. Believe me all genetics DONT work the same way."

Norco (acetaminophen / hydrocodone) for Pain "Dating back to 1960, it seems like I've been plagued with pain every day of my life. Most of the time a small amount of aspirin will eliminate the issue. But there are days when almost nothing will end the pain. Since I began taking Norco 3-4 years ago - up to three, 10-325 mg tablets a day, life has been a genuine pleasure. I'm still experiencing daily pain. But it is very seldom severe. And when it is, that's only because I forgot I'm 74 years old and spent the day working in the yard like an 18 year-old. I can't begin to name all the pain-killers I've used in my life. But Norco is, by far, the most effective."
